Pousada Aguapé is located in the Aquidauana wetlands the Pantanal and is in a strategic location, offering easy access throughout the year, just 60 km from the towns of Anastácio and Aquidauana. Regardless of the season, the lush area formed by wetland vegetation and open pastures, enables visitation throughout the year. This is an excellent environment for bird watching (over 270 species have been listed. Aguapé guests rise to the merry song of birds and may sample fresh milk at the corrals at dawn, as the sun rises to unveil the daytime beauties of the Pantanal.
The lodge itself has 14 rooms equipped with air conditioning and ceiling fans, restaurant, and thatched roof kiosks to relax in after a wonderful meal. For recreation, there is a swimming pool, sand volley court, and a soccer field. There is even a landing strip for small planes. The property offers a diversified activities program trekking on horseback, piranha fishing, boat tours, and the chance to observe cattle ranching.
