The Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge is a cluster of thatched, low rise buildings nestling among trees on the site of an ancient volcano in the Pilanesberg National Park. The 90 air conditioned guestrooms feature African inspired decor in rich, warm colours. All are equipped with satellite television, direct dial phones, Internet connections, tea and coffee making facilities, and hair dryers.
Guests can enjoy a number of onsite activities and facilities, including two swimming pools, floodlit tennis courts, outdoor chess, and volleyball, while children are kept entertained at the adventure playground. A 130 metre tunnel links the hotel complex to 'The Hide', a hidden viewing point offering glimpses of African wildlife at large. The front desk is open round the clock and guests can quiz knowledgeable staff for tour advice and choose souvenirs at the onsite gift shop. Exposed stonework and beams create a bush like atmosphere in the international buffet restaurant, while the 24 hour cocktail bar offers imported wines, beers and spirits and a range of cigars. Facilities for business guests include meeting and conference rooms, banquet facilities and full secretarial services, while those arriving by car will find covered parking next to each accommodation unit. The hotel also runs a shuttle service to and from Sun City, three kilometres away, for a fee. Pilanesberg International Airport is 10 kilometres and about a 10 minute drive from the hotel.
